The grand property is located in the peaceful grounds of a residential home and is full of original features such as the elegant wooden beams. The cosy lounge has ample space for you all to relax while the pups snuggle up in front of the wood burner at the other end of the room. Down a few stairs and along the hallway, you’ll find the spacious kitchen/diner, where there’s plenty of space for the dog beds. The lodge is surrounded by a beautiful enclosed lawn, where your four-legged friends can play, whilst you enjoy a spot of al fresco dining and admire the tranquil views across the nearby fields.
Spend a lazy afternoon pottering around the relaxing 130 acres of grounds and gardens at Lowther Castle, before all enjoying some refreshments in the woof-friendly cafe. The pretty town of Kendal is well worth a visit during your stay, particularly on the last Friday of the month when they hold a popular farmers’ market packed with delicious local delicacies. Stretch the legs and paws on the gentle climb to the ruins of the 12th-century castle, where you’ll be treated to fabulous views across the town and surrounding countryside. Further afield, Lake Windermere is within touring distance, at just over 30 miles away.
