Step into your open-plan living area, where skylight windows bring light flooding into your airy lounge, kitchen and dining area. Stretch out on the sofa and enjoy catching up with a favourite TV show after a long walk, while your happy hound also savours a well-earned rest. Whip up a light snack or several-course meal in your kitchen, where there’s plenty of space to store Rex’s treats, too. Then sit down to enjoy your family meal in your dining area. Two comfortable bedrooms and a stylish shower room are also part of the inviting accommodation here.

Pack a picnic and grab the lead to head out on miles of country walks through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in which your appealing canine holiday home is situated. Drive the 9 miles to the market town of Bridport, with its independent shops and dog-friendly cafes and pubs, where you can all grab something tasty to eat or drink. Approximately 11 miles away is West Bay, where you and your happy hound can splash and play on the East Cliff and West Cliff beaches all year round. Pick up the South West Coast Path at West Bay too for glorious coastal vistas, craggy coves and more beautiful beaches.

Sticks and Stones was the perfect location for a relaxing break between Christmas and New Year. Lovely views over the Dorset countryside with local wildlife at your doorstep, we spotted deer, pheasants and many different species of birds. Situated in glorious surroundings of mature trees with gorgeous views across a valley, lots of birds and wildlife visit and hearing owls so nearby was a treat. We had a lovely time at Sticks and Stones. Very comfortable, clean cottage. Beautiful views and walks from our doorstop. Good pubs nearby for eating out in the evening and close to beautiful coastal towns like Lyme Regis. Wed definitely return!

Gill and Steve were great hosts. Friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The cottage had everything we possibly needed. It was so clean, light and airy , but with a real feeling of home from home. Compact but spacious. Banged my head on sloping ceilings a few times. Could not see much from the Windows in sloping roof but brilliant views when outside. Not much to do nearby but great for rest and relaxation.

Perfect property and location for a Dorset holiday with a toddler. Plenty of space for an energetic toddler to run around on good days and wet ones too. We had a great time, hosts very helpful with recommendations for appropriate things to do in the local area as well and very responsive to queries.

Perfect location, spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable and the little wooded area and lake opposite was so pretty. The flowers, milk and biscuits were a welcome touch and the doggie bed and food area was a great idea. Overall a brilliant weekend and would definitely recommend the property.

We were really pleased with our choice of Sticks and Stones, it was very clean, had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday, even a towel and food and water bowls for our dog. We needed a little help with a few things during our stay and the owner was very quick to respond and resolved the issues immediately.

Sticks &Stones A very well appointed and modern barn conversion really well laid out immaculately clean, and every thing was there and of the best quality. We have stayed in many cottages over the years and the one thing none of them had but this one did a TEA POT. I would have no problem recommending it to any one.

Lovely holiday barn conversion- immaculately clean. Well stocked with games and DVDs which kept us entertained! Cosy L shaped sofa with a lovely view of the blossom tree outside and the many birds that visited to feed from the bird feeders.
