Located within the owner’s grounds and surrounded by open fields this property provides a relaxing countryside escape with games room, everything you could want for the family.

Enjoy an escape to nature with your nearest and dearest in this quaint family cottage. You’ll certainly want to bring along your beloved bow-wow, exploring endless walkies on the Scottish Border, the delightful Northumberland Coast and the vast Northumberland National Park. This pretty property comfortably sleeps six guests and one canine companion, offering a pleasant space to unwind after long days of chasing sticks.

This spacious cottage is set out on one level, surrounded by working farmland and bright countryside. The interior has been kept homely and traditional, benefitting from a neutral colour scheme and sturdy wooden furniture throughout. Head into the kitchen, where a charming Aga-style electric oven will keep the room toasty - you’ll no doubt find Fido begging for scraps underneath the breakfast table! Along the hallway the lounge is a cosy space to unwind, where humans can enjoy comfortable sofas and a Smart TV whilst your happy hound can warm their fur by the wood burner-effect electric fire. Or, in sunnier weather, make full use of the pretty garden space, furnished patio and fun games room, offering enjoyable pastimes for man and dog alike.

Take a trip to Seahouses beach (25 miles), enjoying the sweeping landscapes of the Northumberland Coast AONB whilst letting kids and canines splash in the sea and sand. Parents less keen on wet paws and sandy boots may instead prefer a trip to the Northumberland National park (5 miles), where an abundance of dog walks offer both easy and challenging routes. Or, staying a little closer to home, head for the Scottish Border (1 mile) and enjoy calming walks along the River Tweed, stopping off at friendly local pubs in Coldstream (2.7 miles) and Kelso (10 miles).

We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. We were made very welcome on our arrival and had everything we needed throughout our stay. We loved the games room, especially the snooker table! The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring Northumberland and we particularly enjoyed days out on Holy Island and at Seahouses, where we went on a boat Read moretrip to the Farne Islands to see seals and seabirds. Ideal cottage if you have a teenager as the games room kept them quiet although we had to buy our own darts for dartboard. Located close to Coldstream. Lots of board games to keep you quiet.
