This spacious barn conversion sleeps ten guests and two canine chums. The property is ideally situated to explore both the north and south coasts of Cornwall, with their plethora of golden sandy beaches and magical clear waters. Many beaches, such as beautiful Bamaluz in St Ives (just 11 miles away), welcome canine visitors all year round, meaning your furry friends can join in with all the holiday fun.
Enter the luxurious property via the hallway, where you can store all your dog-walking gear, before heading upstairs to the elegant open-plan social space. The clever reverse-level configuration creates a bright and airy lounge/kitchen/diner, with fabulous high ceilings and ample space for the whole party to relax. On chillier nights, snuggle down on the comfy sofas in front of the wood burner, where the hounds will no doubt be stretched out warming their little paws. It’s outside, however, where the woofers will be in their element. They can have a good roam around the grounds, whilst you enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the BBQ hut or chill out in the hot tub.
For a day at the beach, head over to the sheltered, sandy cove at Bamaluz Beach in St Ives’ old fishing quarter. Pack a picnic and spend the day rock pooling and splashing in and out of the turquoise water. Alternatively, if it’s too hot for the waggy-tailed ones to go to the beach, why not journey over to Tehidy Country Park? With 250 acres of shady woodland and lakes to explore, as well as a delightful cafe, it’s a beautifully peaceful place to spend a relaxed few hours. The world-famous Minack Theatre is just over 20 miles away. Four-pawed visitors are welcome to join you as you admire the spectacular architecture and views over Porthcurno Bay.
