Beautiful cottage situated in the heart of Exmoor National Park, this cosy cottage is perfect for a small family getaway to the countryside.

A charming converted stable groom cottage offers a stunning base for your next family trip, putting the North Devon Coast and unforgettable Exmoor countryside at your very fingertips. Four guests and three dogs can rest in style and comfort after long days of seafront walkies and fetching sticks, preparing for another fun-filled day ahead. Adjacent you’ll find the smaller Fox Cottage which sleeps two guests and three further dogs, and can be booked separately - ideal for two groups travelling together.

The property’s decor boasts the perfect balance between traditional and contemporary style, boasting a rich colour scheme and charming furnishings throughout. After drying off the dogs and locking up bikes in the outdoor stables, head into the hallway to kick off muddy boots. Find yourself immediately drawn to the homely lounge, the perfect spot to watch TV or enjoy a good book with the wood burner crackling away. Your canine companions can enjoy lounging by the fire whilst your human guests prepare dinner. Dine alfresco in bright weather or treat the family to a BBQ, making use of the fully enclosed garden and letting kids and dogs have free roam of the outdoor space.

Set off and explore the surrounding Exmoor National Park, packing a picnic and some tennis balls for a long day on the hills. Tarr Steps (4.5 miles) is the perfect spot for a gentle stroll, great for younger children and tired dogs. You’ll find the North Devon Coast just 16.5 miles away, perfect for long walks along the cliffs and taking in remarkable sea views. Visit Combe Martin (20.5 miles) and take a trip to the beach, letting your four-pawed pals fetch sticks on the sand between September and May. Stag cottage is beautifully presented, the bathroom is stunning with an amazing shower and roll top bath, the bed comfy and the space was just great for me, my husband and our 3 dogs. Lovely cottage beautiful finished. We went in November and the weather was wet and windy but the cottage was cosy and warm. The views were amazing from the main bedroom. The hosts were friendly showing us where everything was. Would definitely recommend this property.
