Packed full of character and with a heap of on-site fun activities on-site, this cute cottage has a lot to offer a large family or groups of friends looking for a getaway in the South West. Situated close to the Devon/Cornwall border, up to six guests and two dogs could soon be sniffing out the abundance of adventures and activities this magical part of the country has to offer.

The communal games room, outdoor play area and heated indoor swimming pool that are available to people staying on the complex means that no-one need ever get bored during a blissful break here. Wooden beams and trusses line the whitewashed ceilings and provide a glimpse into the fascinating history of the house, when it would have been horses as opposed to humans and their canine companions that resided here.

Painted brickwork, exposed wooden floorboards and rustic pine furniture add a homely traditional feel to the open plan lounge/dining area, with comfortable modern leather sofas bringing it right up to date. Large French windows open out onto a pretty enclosed garden, providing the perfect place for your four-legged friends to race about in. Three good sized bedrooms decorated in pretty, pastel hues offer flexible sleeping options for your family, with one room being located downstairs making this property accessible for everyone. When you need a break from the non-stop fun on your doorstep, you can take a 1.5-mile drive to Bude where you’ll find a multitude of shops, pubs, restaurants and golden sandy beaches, some of which are dog friendly all year round. Tintagel Castle is a 20-mile drive away and definitely worth a visit; here you can immerse yourself in the myths and legends of King Arthur and Excalibur.

Not a great location as couldnt walk any where as no pavements , needed to use car to get any where.

A wonderful week here. It is in a perfect location for the town of Bude and the beach. The cottage and facilities were beyond excellent. The kitchen was very well equipped with utensils and a variety of games on hand to keep everyone entertained. Loved the pool and games room. Facilities here were very clean and the pool warm. Shopped at Sainsbury'Read mores but there is a Morrisons and Lidl in Bude. Had a lovely meal at the Brendon Arms so worth a visit. We'll be back - it's well worth the 6 hour drive! Hide

Another wonderful stay at Stable Cottage, Renee was absolutely brilliant in sorting out any issues at all. We almost had the complex to ourselves, which felt like we had a private pool! The cleaning ladies were also great, super friendly and flexible when we left. A highly recommended place to stay, now our fifth at Trevalgas. Bude-e-ful!

Nice spacious character cottage, very good location near bude Town centre. Front and back garden lovely and secure for dogs. Shame about the weather so we never got chance to sit in the garden. Lovely swimming pool. Good parking areas.

The swimming pool is great. Don't expect to be able to walk anywhere as it's all narrow country lanes with no pavements.

Well equipped cottage, nice touches of games dvds. Kitchen good selection of crockery, and utensils. Lovely outside space and bbq . Nice to have cleaning things and pegs etc. Pool and games room great, lovely little site. Would love to come again. Would have been helpful to have instructions for job and tv but worked it out ok. Great holiday

Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable for my family and our dog. The pool was fabulous, and despite all but one of the holiday cottages being occupied during our stay, it never felt too busy. I would definitely recommend.
