Stable barn is both spacious and cozy. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. We stayed over Christmas and there were plenty of pots, dishes, baking trays and utensils for cooking a traditional dinner with all of the trimmings. We love the views across the White Peak landscape and easy access to The Monsal Trail on foot. If you like walRead moreking or cycling Bakewell is within close reach and only takes about 5 minutes by car. The location is an ideal base to visit The Peak District. Hide

Stable Barn is in a fabulous location with great walks from the door. The owners are friendly and helpful. In particular we found the beds were super comfortable. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. If you are looking for a great base to feel at home in, and see some stunning Derbyshire scenery - this is a great place to book.

We've had a great time staying in the Stable Barn. The cottage is comfortable, good size for a family of five, three bathroom/shower rooms are really handy. We did have a good Christmas. The owner had put up a Christmas tree and left us a bottle of wine, which we thanked her for when we saw her on 27th. But on arrival was disappointed, looked shabby. Needs a good clean especially the oven. 3 out o5 wall lights and outside light not working, luckily we had a torch. No cupboard space for food, it was ChrRead moreistmas! ours had to stay on floor in bags. Bed linen and towels were nice as was crockery. Hide
