Located on a working farm, this idyllic stone cottage is perfect for family holidays with the dog. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside, wonderful walks can be enjoyed from the cottage along the picturesque Bembridge Trail and over the downs, while a short drive will bring you to some fantastic dog-friendly beaches. At the end of a busy day of exploring with your pooch, return to the pretty fenced garden for a BBQ overlooking the countryside. (BBQ available on request in advance)

This 18th-century Grade II listed barn has been lovingly converted to offer light and airy accommodation with plenty of original charm retained. A clean and bright kitchen overlooks the fields to ensure that the dishes are never a chore. With exposed ceiling beams and dual aspect windows, the lounge is a charming space for relaxing by both day and night. While two of this cottage’s three cosy bedrooms are located on the ground floor, a spiral staircase leads up to a charming double bedroom and en-suite bathroom in the eaves. While you enjoy a long soak in the bath, your canine companion can play safely in the enclosed garden outside.

Set out on foot with your four-legged friend to explore the beautiful countryside that surrounds this property. The rural village of Newchurch is just half a mile away, with its popular pub The Pointer Inn and quaint church, while Borthwood Copse is an excellent spot for red squirrel spotting. For a beach day, hop in the car to the nearby stretches at Luccombe Bay (5 miles) or Mount Bay (7 miles), which welcome dogs all year round, or if you are visiting from October to April, head to Shanklin (3.5 miles) or Sandown (4.5 miles).

Great visit, attentive hosts, Kev was very accommodating, Cottage very well set up, we appreciated the porch area to dry off the dog and the washing machine and tumble dryer, it was a wet week! Cosy, well equipped and very snug after blustery walks, weve recommended to family!

Great location, very quiet, seems very rural but close to all amenities and for sight seeing throughout the island. Cottage is well equipped and as described.

The cottage was extremely comfortable, with plenty of room, in all areas. Lovely and quiet, with nice views. The owner was extremely helpful, the only problem we had, was a faulty smoke alarm, which he sorted out within 5 minutes.

Lovely place to stay, directions to the property very good. It is in a very rural position, which we really liked but may not be for everyone. The last few yards of the lane is unmade & very bumpy , take care. There is alternative parking available on request. The cottage is very well equipped. There is a Morissons store about 2.5 miles away, plentRead morey of other stores nearby too. Hide

Well equipped cottage with three bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom are accessed by a narrow spiral staircase which would be impossible for guests with mobility issues. Also headroom is limited by the slope of the roof. Downstairs are a double and a twin bedroom and a spacious family bathroom with superb walk in shower. Very nice cottage, but with minor things wrong, no safety tape on any steps, my 90 year old dad with limited sight fell down the step in the dining room, bushes down the lane need trimming as scratched our car, asked for a second key, which never appeared, needs 6 comfortable chairs not 5

Lovely location surrounded by beautiful views - good location as isn't far away from a pub and nice country walks. - Close to nearby villages too so not from from Shanklin / Sandown which was ideal

We had a really lovely stay here over Christmas, the cottage was very warm and cozy and they even put up a little Christmas tree for us a lovely touch. It has everything you need and more very well equipped, it does supply towels but only small so if you like a nice big bath sheet take your own the downstairs bath is lovely and big. The views are oRead moreutstanding and some lovely walks for the dogs if you follow the trail brings you out at The Pointers pub so you can reward yourselves for your efforts Hide

This was a lovely well appointed property in a beautiful location overlooking the Isle of Wight countryside. It provided spacious accommodation for a three generation family holiday, and is within easy reach of attractions locally and along the east coast. I would recommend it to visitors of all ages.

The location of this cottage is perfect. The only downside is that you will struggle in the dining area if there are more than 3 or 4 of you.
