With the town, parks, cinema and beaches of Eastbourne so close, you’ll be at the heart of a vibrant seaside extravaganza, with the sublime South Downs just to the west. Royal Parade Beach (1 mile) and Holywell Beach (3 miles) are just two of a plethora of sandy sanctuaries within a stone’s throw that welcome well behaved dogs. Pevensey Bay (3 miles) is a quiet shingle beach, with gorgeous channel views and rare wildlife. Normans Bay (5 miles) has wonderful views of Beachy Head, and is fantastic for kite flying.

Inside you’ll find an elegant, light and airy interior, combining traditional and modern in a homely, cosy house. Prepare superb local seafood in the charming kitchen/diner before finding your own spaces in the snug or back in the sitting room. Spill out from the dining area onto the patio on red wine nights and bright coffee mornings. Soak away stresses in the tranquil, sandy bathroom, before drifting away in the master bedroom’s lofty and spacious sanctuary.

Brighton (22 miles) is a vibrant metropolis of retro boutiques, funky pubs and nightclubs and bijou eateries with ocean treasures galore. Explore the unspoilt charms of Bexhill-on-Sea (11 miles) and Hastings (17 miles), with their museums, history tours, cliff railways, art galleries and adventure centres. We had a great time. We enjoyed the spacious dining and living areas. The cottage has a lot of natural light and is super clean. The 2 parking spaces are a bonus. We were able to walk into Eastbourne - it's. good 30 to 40m each way, but very enjoyable along the sea front.

A nice townhouse, very close to the Sovereign Centre and the seafront and walkable to the town centre, pier, etc. Very well equipped kitchen and sensible servicing - provided tablets for the dishwasher and washing machine, washing up liquid, salt and pepper, soap in all bathrooms. A fine house near all we wanted and more. Close to park with water features and swimming pool with soft play. Easy to get out of Eastbourne, only 20 mins to Drusillas & Pevensey. Land train along front good value. Look forward to visiting again

We loved our stay at Sovereign Cottage, it was well equipped with everything we needed (and more). It was very clean and obviously had been recently updated to a very high standard. We were initially concerned the area would of been a bit too quiet for a teenager and pre teen but they found lots to do, included the nearby pool and the beach, just aRead morecross the road. It was an ideal location for visiting the south coast and there was lots of lovely walks to take the dogs. Highly recommended. Hide

Very clean and functional house providing all that is needed for a happy holiday. Location good for sights and activities, be aware that very close to busy road and junction so can be noisy at night with windows open. We took our dog, the garden was secure, however empty vegetable patch made life a little difficult keeping dog off the very muddy arRead moreeas and involved a lot of dog cleaning. Garden is very overlooked. Hide

The house was lovely but we were a little concerned when someone (I presume the owner) suddenly appeared in the garden to drop off some grow bags. If I hadnt noticed them I couldve opened the door to let my dogs out and they couldve escaped out of the gate!!
