Dogs can join you in the walled garden and woodlands and there’s also a gorgeous walk down to the beach. The coastal town of Bude (10 miles) makes a great day out. Spend the day on dog-friendly Summerleaze Beach rock pooling, building sandcastles or learning to surf, then grab some fish and chips and head up to the cliffs to watch the waves crashing or perhaps take a stroll along the canal. For family fun, journey to The Milky Way Adventure Park (10 miles). Dogs can join you in the grounds whilst the adrenaline-seekers enjoy the rollercoasters and rides.
