It’s also definitely worth taking the 3-mile stroll to the Roman amphitheatre to really immerse yourself in the history of this great city. The hounds can join you, just remember to pop them on a lead. Another fabulous way to see the city is by boat. The sightseeing tours (3 miles away) on the River Dee offer a unique perspective, and dogs are welcome on board. If it’s fresh air and greenery you’re after, head to Delamere Forest (10 miles away). You’ll find walking trails through woodland and past beautiful lakes, plus lots of picnic spots.
