Set less than 0.25 miles from the beach at Milford-on-Sea, this extensive cottage is perfect for humans and hounds hungry for a heavenly Hampshire holiday. Explore Milford’s independent shops, dog friendly pubs, seafood restaurants, galleries and breathtaking cliff-top walks. The village green is reputedly the site of an 18th century battle between smugglers and local militia. With its colourful beach huts and tremendous views of the Isle of Wight, Milford’s dog-friendly pebble beach is a joy for two legs and four; there’s a wonderful easterly walk along Hurst Spit to the remote Tudor artillery fortress of Hurst Castle (2 miles). Under 0.25 miles to the west, the beach at Taddiford Gap is the place to find shark’s teeth and fossils; be aware that it’s also used by naturists!
The cottage’s interior is a superb blend of contemporary comfort and nautical stylings. Friends, families and dogs can find their own favourite space, be it the cosy lounge, bright conservatory, bubbling hot tub (available at additional cost), graceful garden or tranquil pine lodge with its own kitchen, shower and double sofa bed. Prepare delicious local seafood in the mid-century-style kitchen, and savour al fresco feasts in the glasshouse or garden. After thrilling seaside adventures, soak tired limbs in the hot tub or the blissful bathroom before drifting to your beautiful first-floor bedroom; the king-size has gorgeous feature wallpaper too.
