Sleeping three and welcoming one small/medium dog, this former almshouse is a comfortable base for a countryside escape. There are walks straight from the doorstep, and after a day hitting the hills you can return to the cottage and let the underfloor heating warm your paws. As a single-storey property, there are no stairs to hinder small or older dogs so your canine companion can always be at your side.

Wooden ceiling beams, colourful soft furnishings, and a wood burner tucked away amidst an exposed stone surround, all add to the cottage’s timeless charm and homely atmosphere. There’s a washer/dryer, perfect for muddy towels after rainy day walks and for refreshing damp clothes. While you shower, Fido will love stretching out on the rug in front of the freshly lit wood burner. Prepare dinner in the bright kitchen/diner and set a bowl down full of tasty titbits for your top dog. Afterwards, relax on a soft seat with the iPod playing your favourite music from its docking station, or with a film on the TV. Enjoy a peaceful sleep in one of the two pretty bedrooms, while your dog dozes away in his bed and dreams of the games they’ll play tomorrow. Outside, the garden lawn is shared with the two other properties, and there is seating for al fresco dining.

Pick up supplies in the picturesque village of Betws-y-Coed (8 miles). While you’re there, buy your tickets and board a miniature train at the Conwy Valley Railway Museum. The waggy-tailed ones can ride along with you, and are welcome inside the museum, making it a fun experience for the whole pack. For days spent outdoors, you could explore Gwydir Forest Park (10 miles) and go hunting for waterfalls: Conwy Falls (7 miles) and Swallow Falls (10.5 miles) are both within driving distance.

Very comfortable and well maintained, apart from a very loose toilet seat, but Im sure this has now been seen to. Well located for exploring Snowdonia.

Beautiful little cottage. Well equipped for us to make dinners and breakfasts. Set in a really lovely village with great views as you drive though the national park (right out of cottage). A great place to escape the hustle of a city. Thank you.

Very clean and comfortable. Every thing you needed. Shower room very small and really cold, but it was October. No phone signal at property. Not bad location, Betws y Coed was about a ten minute drive.
