Bursting with charm, character and a whole host of splendid additional features is this fantastic dethatched barn. The elevated location gives guests wonderful vantage points to bask in the views all around while setting tails wagging at the thought of discovering the 30 acres of land on-site. Come here to get away and treat family and friends to a relaxing time together in one of  The Borders most spectacular settings.

This lovingly restored barn is the perfect getaway for large families and their four-legged friends. The open-plan kitchen/diner area is spectacular and a super space for family get-togethers over dinner. Downstairs in the spacious lounge, there is more than enough room to get comfy as the log burner crackles and you share the ambience with Rover relaxing nearby. Four bedrooms are situated on the first floor - a king-size with en-suite shower and WC, a double and two twin rooms, give you the chance to sleep in the utmost comfort on your stay. There’s an additional bathroom with some delightful features on this floor too. This detached Grade II listed barn is surrounded by spectacular Herefordshire farmland. Take your pups out to roam in the fields but keep in mind that this is farmland country and pups must be kept under control, and let the children play in the specially-built play area, equipped with tree house, tubular slide, two rope swings, picnic table and BBQ area. There’s a perfect spot out here for picnics, with views across to The Skirrid and Garway Hill. Just outside the barn, there’s a small enclosed garden for enjoying the summer sun, while a firepit in the garden is a wonderful place to enjoy a spot of stargazing at night.

Walks and mellow meanders are quite literally on your doorstep here. It’s a haven for wildlife watching as you take Rover to find a fresh new stick or two, whether you choose the peaceful 30-acre fields or the tracks from the door. Situated 2.5 miles from the rural village of Ewyas Harold, you can pop into the local fish and chip shop after visiting the local dog-welcoming inns on your way back from a day of dog walking. The common at Ewyas Harold is a particularly nice space to explore for those with four legs and two!

This cottage was perfect for us, we were able to relax totally inside and out. The tree house and outside play area was a delight for children and their grown-ups. It's the place we just want to keep going back to. Ideal facilities and ideally situated.

Excellent in many ways: a quiet location, a good starting point for walks (with directions by the owners), a friendly welcome, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, a cosy living room, in splendid surroundings. We (a family of eight adult Belgian tourists) utterly enjoyed our stay.

Shoppe Barn is spacious, warm and comfortable. The beds were wonderful and so were the lounge sofas (It's also cooler down there in the warm weather). As we were working we didn't venture out much but it was a delight to wake to just the sound of birds and the breeze and delight in the peace and quiet.

A lovely, cosy place to stay, very warm and full of character. Plenty of hot water and a generous amount of wood included for the stove. We had a very enjoyable weekend as a group of friends, walking from barn and further afield, visiting Symonds Yat, swimming in the Wye, and completing the Three Castles Walk.

The house was ideal for our holiday with 5 adults and 2 young girls (and a dog).. We had loads of space and enjoyed the dingle where there was a slide , play house and swings. Beautiful area and I definitely recommend the walk to the waterfall but check when the ice cream parlour is open!

We had a great stay here over Christmas. We were two families of four and one dog. The property is very clean and very well equipped. The layout is great to give children space to play and the kitchen has a nice seating area. Would love to return here and explore the area.

Lovely location. Really well presented dog-friendly property. Clean tidy and a lovely welcome basket on arrival. Instructions were very clear and good documentation about the house itself and other local amenities. We followed the local walks as recommended by the owner. We had a fantastic time.
