This unique and stylish lodge/shepherd’s hut with hot tub is a fun and exciting property which nestles in an enclosed and private part of the owners’ 300-acre farmland in a beautiful part of Devon.

This gorgeously romantic shepherd’s hut and accompanying lodge sit in a tranquil spot on a 300-acre farm, ideal for long leisurely walks with your significant other as well as your canine companion. Peaceful and idyllic, it is perfect for a romantic retreat with your four-pawed pal in tow amidst the rolling green countryside of Devon.

The original shepherd’s hut is warm and inviting and comes complete with a double bed and a wood burner for cosy nights in, as well as space on the floor for your four-legged friend to stretch out beside you. In the morning, open the door to be greeted by the lovely countryside vista and let Fido bound out onto the grass to stretch his legs. Adjacent to the hut is the delightful lodge where you can enjoy breakfast in the dining kitchen or relax in the lounge in front of the TV. Next to the lodge is the luxurious extra of a fabulous sunken hot tub where you can indulge in a long soak with a glass of something chilled after a day out exploring, whilst your pup relaxes on the decking beside you. There’s also a paddock, perfect for playing ball.

Nearby Tiverton (4 miles) offers some delightful canalside walks for you and your furry friend to enjoy before settling down to a quiet lunch in one of the town’s dog-friendly pubs and restaurants. Let your dog enjoy a good run in the parkland at the beautiful National Trust Knightshayes Gardens just outside Tiverton, where you’ll also find trails and woodlands to sniff out some adventure. Otherwise, take a scenic drive to the stunning Blackdown Hills (20 miles) for miles of glorious waggy-tailed walks.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a lovely time at Shepherds Hut, even with torrential rain for the whole week. We enjoyed walks out to Cadbury Castle (no chocolate and no castle!) and Bickleigh Mill. The accommodation was great and gave us the relaxing break we craved.

A perfect peaceful retreat to chill out and relax, hear the birds and watch the cows and squirrels running around. Excellent for our dog Mac, the hut tub is a must. Even though it was warm enough we had to light the burner in the hut!

This cottage is perfect if you want to get away from everything and have some peace and quiet. It is secluded, quiet and not overlooked by any other property or the road. Although we did not bring our dogs with us this time, they would have loved it. As well as ample room for them to investigate in the cottage field, they would have enjoyed the addRead moreitional field that comes with this cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely plan on returning. Hide

On our honeymoon so the peace & quiet there was perfect. Quaint but modern, enclosed garden perfect for our husky. Nearest pub a mile walk away but very hilly! Food there was stunning. Hot tub fantastic. Owners were friendly & happy to help. Highly recommended.

Lovely, self contained area with all the required amenities. Excellent kitchen area with a comfy sofa and tv etc. The hot tub was a lovely way of relaxing following a day out exploring. The Shepards hut added an unique bedroom and was very comfortable. We had a great stay here and would return without hesitation.
