This charming cottage on Loch Linnhe is the perfect rural retreat for a family looking to enjoy the natural environment and enjoy a whole array of outdoor activities.

Surrounded by rolling hills and towering pine trees, this picture-postcard cottage on the banks of Loch Linnhe will get tails wagging at its idyllic location and choice of walks from the doorstep. With three bedrooms, the cottage is the perfect destination for families or friends, including four-legged ones, seeking a rural retreat in the Scottish Highlands, but within reach of the popular tourist towns of Fort William (15 miles) and Glencoe (14 miles).

Entering into your hillside hideaway you’ll be barking with joy at the spacious open-plan living space where your pup will never be far from your side. Create tasty meals in the contemporary, well-equipped kitchen where you can enjoy a morning coffee at the breakfast bar. Enjoy evening meals at the corner dining table before sinking into one of the comfortable sofas with a wee dram and an evening of quiet conversation in front of the wood burner. At the end of the evening, retire to one of the three comfortable bedrooms, two doubles – one with en-suite shower room, and a pretty twin bedroom. Outside, your cottage is surrounded by a large lawn and enclosed gravelled area where your hound can stretch their paws while you sit and enjoy the peace of your surroundings.

Spend your days roaming the beautiful countryside surrounding your holiday home. Stroll to the tranquil Loch Linnhe (0.5 miles) for a ramble along the shoreline and a doggy paddle in the clear seawater. Stretch the paws with a hike to Corran Point (6 miles) and its quaint lighthouse, stopping in Ardgour for some refreshment in the dog-friendly inn. Further afield, discover the outdoor capital of Scotland, Fort William (15 miles), where you can climb Ben Nevis with your canine companion or hop onboard the dog-friendly Jacobite Steam Railway for a nostalgic journey through the Highland countryside.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

An absolutely stunning cottage in an amazing location. Far more spacious than it looked on the photos. Gorgeous scenery all around you! The cottage is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable and the location is great. There are many walks without driving anywhere though paths can be stony and boggy. Excursions further afield can be quite tiring on windy, single-track roads. The estate manager was always available for helpful tips.

The location of this house is simply stunning. Really enjoyed staying here, as did our 3 daughters. So much, that we are coming back next year. Also loved feeding the horses and the deer and seeing otters and seals.

Lovely cottage, has all the basics required. Cosy and comfy very traditional. The surroundings are beautiful and lots of wildlife to be seen. If you want to get away from it all then it's perfect. We really enjoyed it but the kids were a bit miffed the WiFi didn't work but that's what happens when you are in a remote location.
