A stylish five star property with stunning waterside views, located on the edge of the traditional fishing village of Appledore in North Devon, with its range of shops and eateries.

Large families or groups of up to eight will fall instantly in love with this stylish single-level property, which offers a luxury seaside escape; a world away from the frenetic pace and stresses and strains of everyday life. With large open-plan living and dining areas and surrounded by gardens and greenery, there is more than enough room here for three energetic dogs to come along and join the adventure too. The popular golden sandy beaches of Westward Ho! are an enjoyable stroll from the bungalow and provide the perfect playground for your best canine buddies.

Stepping inside the front door, you’ll instantly feel calmer and more relaxed as the bright uncluttered interior welcomes you in and the muted tones of the décor soothe and help you unwind into your holiday. Lots of large windows flood the rooms with light and provide guests with an unparalleled view of the estuary beyond. The four bedrooms are a king room and three doubles, offering flexible sleeping arrangements. Fresh clean linen adorns the beds and clean towels are laid out ready for you to take a leisurely dip in the spa bath. Your morning coffee can be enjoyed from the raised deck area, whilst your four-legged friends enjoy a game of chase around the huge, enclosed garden.

Located on the outskirts of the pretty fishing village of Appledore, you’ll find a selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes along with an award-winning delicatessen 1 mile away. During the summer months you can catch a ferry across the estuary to the village of Instow which has direct access to the traffic-free Tarka Trail. For younger guests and the young at heart there is an amusement park offering all-weather fun just 3 miles away.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The lively tourist destination of Westward Ho! (2.5 miles) is within easy reach where you can enjoy games of cricket and football on the 2-mile stretch of sandy beach. Get competitive on the go-kart track and practise your putt on the crazy golf course. Pull on your wetsuits for a private lesson at the renowned surf school. Step out onto the South West Coast Path for a bracing walk along the stunning coastline and enjoy the sensational views across to Lundy Island. Board the MS Oldenburg from Bideford Quay (3 miles) to explore the unique habitat of Lundy Island, spotting seals and maybe even basking sharks on the journey across the water. Hire a fleet of bicycles and ride the Tarka Trail, a traffic-free route leading through pretty Devon countryside, or pick up the paddles for a group kayak lesson down the River Torridge. Further afield, head to the Milky Way Adventure Park (10.5 miles) for a fun-filled day out riding the rollercoasters. During the summer months, splash and slide your way around the adjacent North Devon Wake Park where you will find a floating obstacle course to challenge the whole family.

Excellent property well maintained and in great location. As we visited in October we did not get the chance to use the superb back garden decking amenity

The cottage was beautiful. The views were absolutely incredible and I cant fault the actual property or the location. As mentioned above the raised decking was completely unstable and unsafe in my eyes. This really needs to be repaired and maintained. Especially for the price of the property.

We had a lovely stay here over New Year. It is a little further from the beaches than anticipated but a short drive got us to some stunning coastlines. Parking was a little tight as we had three cars but managed with a little manoeuvring. Lovely spacious garden for children and dogs. Very well equipped throughout and quite luxurious.
