Escape to this fantastic lodge for a taste of waterside living. Sitting on the edge of Loch Fyne, you can grab a tipple and relax in style on the veranda. Four-legged friends will enjoy this cosy bolthole just as much as you and tails will wag as curious noses sniff out the many adventure spots which surround you.

Hear the ripple of the loch as you wake in the snug bedrooms where wood-lined walls and ceilings lend themselves to the traditional cabin style. Head into the open-plan living space to brew a cup of tea in the kitchen and slowly refresh on the veranda. Breathe in the wonderfully fresh air as furry guests stretch their legs and go in search of new scents. To prepare for the day ahead, freshen up in the bathroom where the bath invites you to relax and unwind. The shower over the bath is a great addition when returning home from exploring and paws are muddied; simply give them a quick rinse and towel down soggy fur. Before dinner, sink into the comfortable sofas and switch on the TV then step into the well-equipped kitchen area to rustle up a storm and some tasty titbits.

Throw on a lead and head outside to discover some true Scottish gems. 6.5 miles from home lies the Crinan Canal; set off on foot, paw or bike and take in the natural beauty as you wander the water’s edge. For a dose of local history, visit the Iron Age hillfort at Dunadd, 9 miles away, where craggy majestic landscapes wait to be explored.

We had a very happy relaxed week. The shoreline location is very special, the views are superb and the log cabin warm and cosy. We agree with the comments of a previous reviewer that some aspects are looking tired (bathroom, mismatching crockery & cutlery) but it is very well equipped and comfortable. The wi-fi was fine, the shower hot and powerfulRead more and the dishwasher an added bonus. We watched seals, eider ducks, red-breasted mergansers and a variety of other seabirds from the cabin. Superb. Hide

Fantastic cabin & location. Weather was 25 to 26 degrees every day. The pictures do not lie. You are steps from the mainly shingle beach. We will visit again .

We enjoyed staying at the lodge with it's amazing views down the Loch. We saw seals in the bay and many different birds including gannets, a hooded crow, a variety of ducks etc. A wonderful place to relax after exploring the area and one of the best views we have ever had from a dining table. The lodge was warm and comfortable and I would certainlyRead more recommend it. Hide

This location is fabulous. Right on the edge of Loch Fyne and with a little private beach and rocks with little pools. We saw a seal and kids found mussels. There is a main road, but noise not bad. Area is quiet, our dog loved the beach, we loved the view. There is a smart TV and a dishwasher, which wasnt stated when we booked. Lodge is a little tiRead morered in bedrooms and bathroom, but the living room is spacious, huge windows, great deck area. Shower is also hot and powerful which is important! Hide

Amazing New Year with friends at this cabin. Plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy our holiday. Fantastic view which allowed us to watch the sunrise. Owners were friendly on the phone and were able to answer our questions they also came across to see us before we left. Will definitely consider booking again for later in the year.

The cottage is warm and homely and the views amazing across the loch. There is road noise but the house is a bit set back from the road. The beach is private, shared only with one other cottage. The sea is beautiful and calm but v cold (13 degrees in August).

Seaholme is in one of the best locations weve ever had. EVER. Plus your own private beach. We swam in the crystal clear water. The view is simply breathtaking. Wow factor. If like us you had the weather, then double bonus. We saw porpoise/dolphin every day, gannets dive bombing. Herons, seal. The lodge has everything you need and great fridge/freezRead moreer. You are just off a main road, but that noise seems to disappear from your consciousness. TrulyTerrific Youre not far from the ferry to Arran. Hide
