Families and groups will love this three-bedroom property that’s just a stroll from the beach. There are sea views from the dining room, and just a stretch of hound-heavenly scrubland between you and the ocean. With several pubs and restaurants in the village, it’s really all on your doorstep here, but bundle everyone into the car and there’s lots more to discover – with attractions in and around Scarborough just 10 miles away. T

he bungalow is arranged around a central hallway, with ample space to dump sandy shoes and brush down the pooches. Turn on the electric fire in the lounge/diner and Fido will soon crash out in front, while you settle into the comfy leather sofas or gaze out at the ocean from the dining table. There are French doors into the enclosed garden which has a summer house the kids will love, and a retractable sun canopy.

Once a tiny fishing village, Filey has grown into a popular seaside town, mainly due to its beautiful long sandy beach. Dogs are only permitted out of season (October to April) on the main part of Filey Bay, but head south 2 miles to Hunmanby or Reighton and the furry ones can run free all year round. Further afield, everyone – including the pup – will enjoy a scramble around the ruins of Scarborough Castle, 10 miles away, with fantastic panoramic views across the coastline. For a longer 6-mile circular walk, head to Broxa Forest, 17 miles away, and feel on top of the world as you gaze over the patchwork Yorkshire Moors

Very nice cottage which had plenty of room. Perfect location for the beach and Filey is a short drive away. We had awful weather so couldnt venture out much but in good weather it would be perfect.

This bungalow is in a fantastic location, just a short walk to the wonderful Filey beach. It's then a short stroll along the sand into Filey, when the tide is out! The bungalow is very comfortable and warm, and although it's a little dated in parts, it felt like a home from home, with plenty of space. The bathrooms were excellent. The enclosed gardRead moreen is fabulous, and very safe for dogs. It has a lovely patio area and sliding patio doors from the living room. Loved the property and will return Hide

The photos of the site are valid but dont mention the public footpath within 1 metre of the lounge window that is often used by residents of the nearby Primrose Valley so the view of the sea has to be limited to the quiet times. All the facilities quoted are present but minimally represented - a trip to Filey Tesco was essential first thing. The beRead moreach below is great though the climb back up from it proved difficult for my 74 year old wife. Holiday cottages do not allow me to amplify further! Hide

Great property, very clean and well equipped, a real home from home. The property as a totally enclosed garden so perfect for dogs. Perfectly situated for Primrose Valley and the pubs, food outlets and shop there. 5 mins or so walk to the beach where you can walk along to Filey. If you want to venture a little further it is only a short drive to BrRead moreidlington, Flamborough, Scarborough or Whitby. I think this was the third time we have been and we will definitely be booking again. Hide
