Located in a fabulous rural location well away from roads, this charming courtyard cottage is the perfect choice for families.
Tucked away within 55 acres of sprawling Cornish countryside, this rural retreat is a walker’s paradise all year round, whether you get around on two legs or four. This two-bedroom bungalow is well-suited to couples or a small family with two dogs. As it’s part of a large holiday complex, you can make use of the many on-site facilities shared with the other guests at the park, including a heated indoor swimming pool, games room and hot tub. The furry ones can burn off some energy in the shared dog exercising field – and make new friends while sniffing out their bearings.
Inside, the living area is open-plan and uncluttered, with light decor and wooden furniture giving the cottage a traditional feel. There is a separate dining room to tuck into homecooked meals prepared in the shaker-style kitchen area. If you fancy a spot of al fresco dining, head to the shared courtyard to grill some artisan sausages on the BBQ or grab some hot food from the on-site takeaway, which is open during school holidays. When it’s time for bed, let your sleeping dogs lie in their baskets while you get a comfortable night’s rest in the light and airy bedrooms.
The traditional fishing ports of Looe (2 miles) and Polperro (7 miles) boast picture-perfect houses and harbours to stroll around. Although Looe Beach doesn’t allow dogs, you can give your pets the run of nearby Hannafore Beach (2.5 miles) all year round. And with the South West Coast Path also on your radar, there are plenty of opportunities to tire out your energetic pups. Further afield, miles of outdoor paths beckon at the world-famous Eden Project (23 miles).
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
