The wood-clad former farm building is full of quirky features and unique fixtures and fittings. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including built-in bunk beds suitable for two small children. Enjoy countryside views as you sip your morning coffee in the dining area or curl up in a comfy armchair by the wood burner whilst the woofer has a doze. Outside, there’s a shared enclosed lawn area, just remember to keep the dog on a lead as there are sheep in the adjacent field. However, for off-lead fun you don’t need to go far – there’s a gorgeous woodland area within the 65 acres surrounding the property.
There are some amazing dog-friendly beaches in Cardigan Bay. One hidden gem is Cwmtydu Beach, 13 miles away. This sand and shingle former smugglers’ cove is dog friendly all year and is a beautiful place to watch the sun set. You might even spot the odd dolphin or seal bobbing about in the sea, too! In Aberystwyth, 23 miles away, you’ll find a remarkable cliff railway that takes you to the summit of Constitution Hill. Dogs can join you for free and on a clear day, you can see 26 mountain peaks! From here you can also access the 60-mile Ceredigion Coastal Path, which weaves its way around the coastline of Cardigan Bay. It’s an absolute must for wildlife enthusiasts.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
