The elegant period property, within easy reach of a beautiful paw-friendly beach, sleeps six guests and two furry chums. Whether you fancy a day at the seaside or a wild and windy walk along the rugged coast, you’ll find plenty to keep your four-legged pals entertained. Step back in time on a heritage steam train (0.5 miles away), with your trusty canine companions by your side, and enjoy a magical ride through the spectacular Purbeck countryside.
This spacious Victorian house is awash with striking period features and is set in a quiet cul-de-sac location. A clever mix of contemporary and traditional styles gives this property a real homely feel. Large bay windows and high ceilings flood the property with natural light, making each area feel spacious and inviting. A large archway links the lounge and dining area, opening up a great social space. Alternatively, close the original pine doors to generate a more intimate setting for a cosy meal together. This also means you can create a quiet spot for the woofers, if all the socialising gets a bit much for them. A step down from the hallway leads to the contemporary kitchen. From here, you and the hounds can access the enclosed south-facing courtyard garden.
Enjoy a traditional day at the seaside at Swanage Beach (650 metres away). The sheltered beach is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. To avoid the dog restrictions, head to Monkey Beach by the old stone quay – four-pawed visitors are allowed here all year. Board the steam train at the station in Swanage and majestically glide through the countryside to Corfe Castle. Here you and the furballs can hop off to explore the romantic ruins of William the Conqueror’s 1,000-year-old castle and admire the breathtaking views across Purbeck.
