Stylish cottage offering a high standard of accommodation for four guests, situated in the much sought-after Cumbrian village of Cartmel, located 6.5 miles from the shores of Lake Windermere.

Sleeping four, and with plenty of space for two dogs, this property offers homely luxury in the south Lake District. Located in Cartmel, the area is well-known as a foodie paradise, with superb pubs and restaurants a perfect dog-walking distance away; they’re perfect for rewarding yourself after a long day of hiking through the Lakes. But be sure to pack the doggie treats!

Overall, the property has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with soft furnishings and gentle lighting creating a feeling of comfort and relaxation in this village property. With two reception rooms, you won’t struggle to find somewhere to sit and we're sure your dog will enjoy putting their paws up in front of the wood burner at the end of a long day of burying bones and chasing rabbits. One of the lounge areas has French doors leading onto the patio, where you can catch the last of the evening sun on the dining set that seats four, as Fido gets the chance to roam around. In the kitchen, an impressive Range oven sits alongside other essentials, plus the luxury of a dishwasher ensures no squabbles over the washing up. Upstairs, a master king-size bedroom boasts a large en-suite bathroom while the cosy twin room has an en-suite shower room.

2 miles away, the unique coastal town of Grange-over-Sands is an amazing place to get some sea air, where a long promenade overlooks a saltmarsh beach and offers views across Morecambe Bay. Dogs are more than welcome on the promenade, and the town is also worth exploring. Lake Windermere (6.5 miles) has plenty of long walks and water sports activities on offer, and 15 miles away the town of Kendal boasts the beautiful Gooseholme park on the banks of the River Kent, an ideal place for a picnic.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Perfect location and the off-road parking was ideal. The enclosed, gated garden provided privacy and safety for our 2 dogs and has the sun all day. The cottage was spacious and provided everything we needed for our week long stay. I would definitely return and recommend it.

After a long hard car journey the cottage was extremely welcoming with warmth, a hamper, lamps and fairy lights. Very tastefully furnished and extremely like a home from home. Spacious and clean. Great place to explore the Southern Lakes from. Cartmel is a gem of a village and foodie heaven. Loved the owners art work on the house walls.
