Lovely cottage, well laid out with an upstairs bedroom (en suite) and for those not keen on stairs a very cosy downstairs bedroom (also with bathroom) and view out to the back garden. As it was February didn't spend much time in the garden but would be lovely in the summer. Cottage, local area and pub (very good menu) all dog friendly as well. Beds were very uncomfortable. Pillows were too soft. We couldn't use the dishwasher because it wouldn't open completely. Some places weren't cleaned properly

A cute cottage in a great area close to Edinburgh. It is hard to find dog friendly, comfortable accommodation and this cottage ticked all the boxes. The owners also own the excellent pub 100 yards away which was welcoming, great food and truly dog friendly.

Comfortable cottage. Reasonably clean but a little tired. We found little space to store food etc in the kitchen as all the cupboards & drawers were full. Comfy beds, upstairs is two singles together so larger than downstairs. Headroom accessing bathroom could be a problem if your tall. The garden is lovely but definitely not enclosed as there is aRead more path down each side of the cottages. Lovely area & easy bus service. Hide

Great location, lots of nice walks, handy having the Inn almost next door and the Roslin Chapel a short walk away. Dog owners: the garden is NOT enclosed - there is a path around the side of the cottage that leads straight onto the road (and its used by twin next door cottage too). Downstairs bedroom a bit small - practicality if getting out of bedRead more on left side of the bed difficult as really very little space between bed and window. Didnt use upstairs bedroom so cant comment. Hide

The standard of the cottage itself was excellent, very clean when we arrived. The location for us was perfect as well, easy access to Edinburgh via a bus stop 100 yards from the front door. Nice big enclosed back garden for the dog and plenty of good walks fron the cottage front door. Overall and excellent choice and we are sure to return.
