Escape to the rolling countryside of Bedfordshire for a quiet break with the one you love, choosing this charming cottage as your cosy abode. It’s top dog for your waggy-tailed companion too, with ample sleeping spots for two accompanying pooches. The owners really have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, and have even provided a welcome pack brimming with goodies and essentials.

Situated next to the owner’s home, this quintessential cottage has an enchanting fairy-tale ambience. A roaring wood burner crackles invitingly in the inglenook fireplace, lulling sleepy canines into a peaceful snooze by the hearth. A farmhouse-sized table and contemporary-style kitchen will be the envy of any budding cook, but al fresco feasts are the order of the day when you head outside to relax in the private rose garden, which features an external inglenook fireplace with an open fire and pizza oven. Upstairs, the gorgeous bedroom has an irresistible bed and a lavish shower room ideal for washing messy paws after a stroll around the shared grounds. Straddling the banks of the River Ouse, the garden is simply breathtaking for a leisurely amble, where you can pad through the gardens, pastures and woodlands scattered with free-roaming chickens and visiting wildlife.

We loved every minute of our stay in this beautiful cottage. We could not have asked for more. The cottage is warm and cosy, well equipped and beautifully furnished, with a very comfy bed. This was our second visit to Rose Cottage and we enjoyed it as much as our first. A wonderful location and friendly and welcoming hosts, we thoroughly recommend Rose Cottage as a relaxing stay to escape the hustle and bustle of life. We will be returning I'm sure.

Ross Cottage is a hidden gem. Charming and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. Warm and cosy, tastefully decorated and more spacious than most one bed properties we've stayed in. The accommodation was very cosy and comfortable, situated in an area with immediate access to numerous walks which we enjoyed. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Having never been to Bedfordshire before, I wanted a cottage in a quiet, rural location to serve as a base for a combination of relaxation and countryside walks. Rose Cottage proved to be a very good choice, with peaceful walks available from the doorstep. The ducks were fun to watch as they tucked in to an apple just outside the kitchen door. The cottage was Everything we wanted secluded, lovely scenery and perfect for us and the dogs as their holiday as well. The owners were lovely and always on hand if needed. This cottage is in a delightful location and works on many levels, relaxing, as a centre for exploring or rambling; a joy to return to at day's end. The country walking was not for us but many others found it so, and it was clear why they should. We visited a number of historic sites, and left a few to come back for. Highly recommended.

I do not normally leave reviews but I cannot rate this properly high enough. We stayed at the cottage on 3 seperate occasions for 28 days,due to a pending house move, it was an absolute delight and felt like home from home.
