The cottage was lovely. Well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas, comfy beds and a good hot shower (really good!). Cottage has a safe enclosed garden at the front and plenty of walking in their own grounds. Also across the lane there are lots of fields with footpaths through for walking.

Would recommend this cottage to anyone with or without dogs, very cosy & clean. Good location for Woolacombe & Ilfracombe as you always need a car in this area anyway. We stayed at Rose Cottage. Amiable host, Helen greeted us on arrival. Complimentary (and unexpected) bottle of wine and fresh flowers on arrival. Comfortable and clean living space and well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bedding and particularly fine shower unit (no bath). Good TV and mobile phone data signal (rural location). Only slight criticism,Read more poor WiFi signal, but this Roses round the door cottage is the perfect get away from it all place. Ideal location for exploring the N Devon coast. Hide

The location is off the beaten track so very quite. The cottages are part of a working farm and allow a dog in the cottage, with excellent country views. A very cosy friendly pub is a mile down the road and allows dogs in. Convenient for north Devon coast such as Ilfracoombe but a vehicle is required to access shops etc. Very cosy cottage.

Overall a good place for a hub if you are exploring the area. And actually dog friendly. A good location! A couple of negatives, bit nothing major: The bathroom is really clean, but the shower is very small making it hard to use for larger/taller people. The kitchen is well equipped and a great size, but the hot water is a bit temperamental, makingRead more it hard to wash pots.
