This family retreat is the perfect base to enjoy some of the finest settings North Devon has to offer.

This quaint little cottage provides a friendly and relaxing ambience where four paws are more than welcome to make themselves at home. Cosy up together in the lounge/dining room that is filled with warmth and light from the patio doors – they lead out to the garden where you can enjoy some al fresco dining with friends and family. Glorious countryside views from the kitchen are bound to provide the inspiration you need for those hearty home-cooked meals. Relax in one of the two bedrooms found upstairs before starting out on your adventures for another day.

Located just 4 miles from the renowned coastal resort of Woolacombe, you have both coast and countryside on your doorstep. Discover the 3 miles of golden sandy beach with your beloved chum, or enjoy the local souvenir shops, cafes and pubs. Ilfracombe (4 miles) is a picturesque seaside town steeped in history and culture where the arts meet high-end cuisine in its harbourside location. Sample the local seafood caught that day whilst watching watercraft bob and weave on these bustling waters.

Lovely cosy, warm cottage. Kitchen really well equipped for catering for 4. Plenty of hot water. Ideal location for exploring the coastal walks and getting to the beaches.

Despite disapointment on arrival of not being able to walk our dog (on lead) on the owners land as was sugested in the booking. We did have a lovely stay. Helen the owner, was really lovely, and there were cakes and flowers on our arrival. Fresh eggs also available! We enjoyed the walks and the beach was great! Our dog loved it! An excellent location, cosy and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The owner was very helpful before and during our stay. We had such a lovely holiday in such a lovely part of the country. We would definitely go again!

Cottage was lovely, had everything you need for a perfect stay. In a great location with The Crown Pub in the village of West Down. visited the pub twice, once for just drinks and on the Sunday for a roast dinner which was fab, dogs were welcome. We have just returned from our stay in Rose Cottage, Helen made us feel so welcome, there was milk in the fridge and muffins on the table which were delicious (thank you). Lovely little cottage, fantastic location for anyone who wants to explore North Devon. The owner is very lovely and made us feel very welcome, leaving us flowers and cupcakes on arrival! Beautiful cottage attached to the owners house with another 2 further cottages on the one side. The owner leaves lots of household supplies for if you forget anything, along with coffee, tea etc. The garden area is very safe for dogs and the surrounding grounds are lovely with chickens roaming around. Really lovely cottage, very peaceful country lane but within 10-15 mins of the beaches at Woolacombe and Ilfracombe town. Easy to get to Barnstaple & Bideford and some nice gardens and national trust properties around. Everything provide in the cottage, lovely walks with the dogs on the doorstep and enclosed garden for them too. Children loved the Read morehens wandering around and the ponies in the field. Perfect location to explore the amazing area. Lovely cottage, well equipped and clean. The garden was nice and secure for the dogs. Side note - Our beds were hard ... so if you cannot sleep on a hard bed best to ask about mattresses before a stay.

Nice cottage in lovely grounds with countryside views. Excellent area for visiting woolacombe and illfracombe and surrounding beaches. Games room is a great addition for families however dogs aren't allowed so not much use to people taking their furry friends.

Lovely property and an idyllic rural location. Great local pub in West Down (The Crown Inn) with delicious food. Plenty of countryside walks and Woolacombe beach only 4miles away for those much-needed sandy beach-walks!

Lovely cottage in a prime position for exploring North Devon. Unfortunately, we didn't sleep well due to our mattress having seen better days, was very uncomfortable. Very well equipped though and overall, we did enjoy our stay other than the lack of sleep!

A comfortable , quiet, well placed cottage close to beautiful areas of the North Coast. Ideal if you have a dog. We will definitely be returning. Helen left cakes, wine and flowers in the cottage. Fresh eggs available from the hens meandering about.

Great location and property. Helen is lovely and always avaliable should you need anything or simply want free range eggs from the chickens.
