Situated in a beautiful area, there is much to explore. Glastonbury (6 miles) has an abbey, resting place of the legendary King Arthur. Set in 36 acres of parkland, dogs on leads are welcome. Within 9 miles in the Mendips is Cheddar Gorge and its magical caves, a great day out for dogs and their families, and you can purchase genuine Cheddar cheese in the town. Meanwhile, only 6 miles away is the picture-postcard Wells Cathedral, which welcomes dogs on leads, provides water and sells doggy biscuits. Westhay Moor Nature Reserve (3 miles) on the Somerset Levels also welcomes dogs on leads, where you may catch sight of Exmoor ponies and other wildlife such as otters and ospreys. If you fancy a beach run with your waggy-tailed ones, then try dog-friendly Brean (16 miles).
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
