Romantic bolthole for two on the brink of the Brecon Beacons, with welcoming lounge, warming wood burner and unforgettable views across the Black Mountains to enjoy.

Found in a peaceful location on the cusp of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this cosy cottage is ideal for couples seeking a romantic retreat with their canine companions by their side. Envisage snuggling up by the roaring wood burner on blustery evenings and waking up to al fresco breakfasts with a view, treating your pups to exciting adventures across the rugged landscape. There are mountains to climb and sticks to chase, plus plenty of chocolate-box villages and bustling market towns to explore including Hay-on-Wye 4 miles away with its array of bookshops and eateries.

Kick-off your muddy boots and wipe down messy paws before stepping up and into your attractive abode, lighting the wood burner to banish the winter chill. Candlelit dinners are a must around the table when you have so many local delicacies to try, so whip up delicious treats in the handy kitchen area ready to dine in style. Upstairs, the comfortable bedroom is a welcome sight for weary travellers, and the gorgeous bathroom has sloped ceilings and a shower-over-the-bath. Your outside space is wonderful for sharing a bottle of wine and BBQ delights in the fading sunlight.

The spectacular setting means that you could soon be navigating a plethora of trails through the sweeping hills, wooded valleys, and rugged countryside of the Brecon Beacons, pausing for a picnic or a well-deserved pub lunch en route. The River Wye is easily accessed via the village of Glasbury 2 miles away, where you can lose yourself amongst the tranquil riverbank walks or perhaps try fishing for salmon. There’s a popular natural swimming spot within 5 miles too, which will prove far too tempting for water-mad pets.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
