Set in the picturesque village of Ringmore, this elegant gem of a cottage will give humans and hounds a sparkling new leash of life. Within a mile, you and your faithful friends can be striding along the wild South West Coast Path, amidst the elements and ozone. Ringmore is at the heart of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its thatched cottages and deep tranquillity. Less than a mile away lies the pebbly beach of Ayrmer Cove, with its unusual rock formations and pools. The circular walk to Kingston (2.5 miles) is sublime and rewarded with two pucka canine-friendly pubs.

Inside the cottage, you’ll find quaint country charm and cosy contentment. The open-plan lounge/kitchen diner is delightful, with its exposed stonework and oak beams, elegant breakfast bar, window seats, wood burner, stone hearth and wide, comfortable sofa. After lush adventures, wine and sweet local seafood, unwind in the enclosed garden, slightly elevated from the property. Drift off to dream of tomorrow in the seductive single bedrooms, and wake with an invigorating shower. This is a cottage created with love and care.

Discover sandy dog-friendly beaches at Wonwell Sands (11 miles), Yarmer and Thurlstone (9 miles), Soar Mill Cove (10 miles) and Salcombe’s five golden sanctuaries. Salcombe is blessed with a bounty of independent shops, pubs, galleries and eateries, as well as its excellent Maritime Museum. Walk the 3 enchanted miles to Bolt Head, through rocky spires and whirling gulls to the mouth of Salcombe estuary. The hike to Gara Head and its hidden beaches is also superb. Jump on the sea tractor from Bigbury-on-Sea to Burgh Island, for a pint at the Pilchard Inn where a roaring fire will mark your memories. This is a magical landscape that you and your furry friends will never forget.

Lovely cottage with little garden .location good for beeches.either walking or by car. All the amenities one needs. Lovely pub near by called journeys end worth a visit or two.

A charming property with a lovely enclosed garden we spent a wonderful week here 01/09/23 great walks on the doorstep and the village pub Journeys End was a great place to eat with a large range of real ales on tap. Early booking recommended. We would return with no hesitation.

Ringmore is a lovely quaint village with a 13th century pub and beautiful walks in and around the village. Rock cottage is a quirky cottage with lots of character and lovely walks from the door onto the south west coastal path. The garden is separate to the cottage along the path. This was the third time we stayed at the cottage and we enjoyed much needed relaxation each time. Excellent facilities and good location for walking or driving to nearby towns and beaches. Hope to come back next year.

A beautiful cottage in a great location for walking. The beds were very comfortable, as was the sofa. There was plenty of hot water and the shower worked well. The kitchen is on the small side, but well laid out and well equipped. The weather was hot during our stay but the cottage remained beautifully cool, which was helpful for the dog. loved the property, clean, comfortable. The welcome goodies were really nice. The village is lovely and the pub is so welcoming with a good menu. Access to the beaches and coastal path are great, most definitely be put on the list of places to return to.

It was a lovely cottage cosy and welcoming The kitchen is small but has all the essentials you need . The local pub is welcoming but is a little longer walk than the information stated but is walkable down a hill. We went over the Christmas period and the weather was rather wet but it was what is was the nearby beach was a 2 minute drive we unfortuRead morenately had a 14 year old bulldog which restricted us getting about but this would be a fabulous place to stay either with or without dogs . The cottage was quaint and lovely. It was comfortable and the wood burner great to take the evening chill away and nice to be cosy. The cottage is in a great location close to Bigbury, challaborough beaches. Salcombe a short drive away. If you want to eat at the journeys end pub book in advance!

This is a charming 'olde worlde' thatched cottage in a chocolate box village. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and well-equipped given the premium on space available. The garden is delightful and dog proof, though you have to cross a shared access path to access it (not a problem). The pub is excellent, but do book in advance, and the convRead moreenience store in St Ann's is well-stocked. We enjoyed tea and cakes in the garden of the WI Hall. There are lovely walks to Ayrmer Cove and beyond. Hide

What a lovely two weeks at rock cottage . The garden is secure and perfect for the two dogs, and lovely neighbours who we chatted to. The walks especially to the cove were fantastic and it was dog friendly. Steve the manager was really helpful and friendly and the cake and milk etc was very thoughtful.
