Stunning property providing stylishly finished accommodation for up to four guests, enjoying a prime location in the pretty market town of Rye.

This former fisherman’s cottage makes the perfect coastal retreat for small families or couples, plus two four-legged companions. Situated in the idyllic medieval town of Rye, you don’t have to walk far (approx. 500 metres) to find quaint cafes, cosy pubs, and artisan boutiques. The property looks out over the River Rother, where you and the pups can enjoy a gentle waterside stroll. At the end of the day, return to your holiday cottage to sip a sundowner in the enclosed garden or soak in the elegant roll-top bath.

The cottage has a sociable layout and at its heart is a spacious lounge/diner. This room has high ceilings and is filled with natural light thanks to the impressive bay window. It’s awash with striking design features and carefully chosen accessories. With hard floors throughout and a cosy wood burner, it’s the perfect area for the hounds to set up camp. A large dining table allows you to enjoy mealtimes together, perhaps sampling some of the treats from your travels. Two beautifully decorated bedrooms await made up of one king-size room and one twin. To the rear of the cottage is a small patio. This enclosed patio is a real sun trap and is the ideal spot for sipping a morning coffee whilst your dogs play.

The area surrounding Rye is perfect dog-walking territory. If you’re a wildlife enthusiast, be sure to head to Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (2 miles). With 5 miles of nature trails for you and the hounds to explore, as well as several birdwatching hides, it’s the ideal place to get close to nature and enjoy a bit of peace and tranquillity. The property is also just 4.5 miles from Camber Sands, where you’ll find mile upon mile of woof-friendly golden sand.

Sarah is a perfect host, was helpful with information on taxis and pubs. The cottage was beautiful, quirky, well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. The weather wasn't the best, so we are hoping to return in better weather. Thank you for a lovely, very relaxing stay. X

This cottage is in an ideal location for exploring Rye and the surrounding areas. The cottage is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a lovely stay. Sarah our host made us feel really welcome. On arrival we had some Christmas extras which was really thoughtful. We loved our stay in the cottage, very well equipped with everything you could need and beautifully decorated. We really appreciated all the thougtful little welcome gifts left by the owner. The real fire is a wonderful bonus in the winter. The location is fantastic, a few minutes walk to the main street in Rye. We will definitely be back.

Sarah was a wonderful host who corresponded with us and gave us lots of information about the location and the cottage. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is very well equipped with everything we needed and located a short walk to all the attractions, shops, pubs etc. Free parking was also a bonus. We had a lovely stay in a lovely cottage.

Lovely cottage and excellent location for the town. If youre taking dogs, the garden is a courtyard with paving. There are walks for dogs around you and along the canal. Lovely stay with my grandchildren and two little dogs. Had some great days out, including Battle, Hastings and Camber sands. The cottage had everything we could possibly need. Only criticism was the outside space, a bit gloomy . Loved the rustic taste of the interior though

Lovely, homely cottage in a great position just across the road from the centre of beautiful Rye. On-site parking was a godsend and the large grass area at the front was ideal for our dog! Pretty cottage well stocked with goodies and a bottle of Prosseco waiting in the fridge along with cake . All mod equipment in kitchen Lovey touch of flowers in the bedrooms, furnishings all very tasteful and thoughtful.. Good to be so near the town .

We had a fabulous week. The location in town was excellent for visiting the pubs and shops. The beds were super comfortable and the house was homely and very well equipped with lots of lovely little touches. The welcome pack was very well received and was a thoughtful touch. We stayed at the cottage for almost a week and loved everything. It looks exactly like the photos, very clean and with all amenities you may need and want. The decor is beautiful with lots of lovely touches. The road next to the cottage can be a bit busy especially in the morning, but it is not terrible, overall great location in Rye.

This is a lovely holiday house, beautifully furnished and very cosy, Its walking distance from the shops and there are lots of good cafes and pubs close by, as well as interesting craft shops and antique shops. Riverside Cottage is a beautiful home from home. The cottage is well kept with lots of character and has everything for your stay. It is in the centre of the village Rye and in walking distance to the shops cafe's and pubs. Very dog friendly. The area as lots of walks and places to explore.

We really loved this holiday home. It was spacious and well equipt. Kitchen was great for cooking in and had everything you would need. The house has a lovely feel to it and is nicely decorated with lots of pretty things. The bed was very comfortable and had a lovely view over the river. This is a beautiful house in a great location for exploring Rye. Both house and town are full of personality, with lots to explore. Not only that, the owner went out of her way to make us feel at home during the stay. We hope to return!

Lovely, clean, home from home, location was great only a short walk from the town. Having parking right outside was great. Sarah, the owner, was great from start to finish, really helpful. Very pet friendly, which isnt always the case, felt I had no worries and will definitely be revisiting.
