Stroll out on long dog walks through the Scottish Highlands from this exquisite former mill, near Archiestown, in Moray. Take your two furry pals to explore the Cairngorms National Park or even to embark upon a stretch of the Speyside Way. Return home to the imaginatively converted property, with its sumptuous interior, character features and ample space for 10 + 2 guests, as well as your pair of perfect pets.
Towel the dogs down after your Scottish rambles and keep them to the ground floor of this unique home, with its exposed stonework, timbers and original mill workings. Light the fire in the lounge and watch TV, read a book or open the newspaper, with the pups basking in the warmth as well. Climb a few steps up into the open-plan kitchen/diner to serve them their supper and then open the doors from the adjoining sun room so they can frolic in the garden. Keep their bedding, blankets and other doggy accessories in the useful utility room. Settle the dogs for the night then make your way up to the three floors above to lay your head in one of your six enticing bedrooms. Two of these have en-suite shower rooms, three have en-suite bathrooms with shower and the attic room includes a bath. Sit out in the sunshine, with your two chums and the mill stream running close by. Light the BBQ, take in the views and relish the quality time with your pets.
Take a 6-mile forest walk from Archiestown, about 1 mile away, up through the trees to the summit of Carn Cattoch, where there are spectacular views. Drive 6 miles to Aberlour to pick up the Speyside Way or follow local footpaths to take your pups on a circular walk.
