Proximity to the Quantocks offers a plethora of lovely walks including the Coleridge Way which meanders through some of England’s most beautiful landscapes. Take your canine companion to the top of Stowey Castle’s motte and bask in the views. Visit the atmospheric Coleridge Cottage and the WWT’s stunning Steart Marshes (7.5 miles) for wild wetland adventures. Inside the barn, you and your furry friend will love the spacious baronial feel of the open-plan design, with its high ceilings and exposed beams and stonework. Heated by a wood burner, the lounge/diner shares an impressive brick archway with the well-equipped kitchen. These are perfect spaces for the endless patter of paws. The upstairs king-size bedroom is cosy and elegant and the downstairs super king-size is bright and airy with twin compatibility; both have an en-suite. In Taunton (11 miles), visit the Plough Inn for some doggy treats and the marvellous Museum of Somerset. Fantastic cottage with all the creature comforts and very well equipped for all you need. Lovely quiet location with great wildlife surroundings. My wife and I had a fabulous 4night stay at Rexworthy Barn with our 7 month old pup Jesse. The property was first class and had everything we needed. The large enclosed garden was perfect for a young dog to run around and the farm itself was great to walk around. The cream scones on arrival was very welcome after a long journey down from Kent!
