The popular seaside town offers beautiful gardens, cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops and access to the South West Coast Path. Dogs are welcome all year at the east end of Sidmouth beach. With shingle beaches overlooked by majestic red cliffs, enjoy the sun glittering on the water, or try the popular dog-friendly sections of beaches of Beer (9 miles), Branscombe (6 miles), Budleigh Salterton (7 miles), or Exmouth (11 miles). Perhaps go fossil hunting at Lyme Regis (16 miles) where dogs are welcome on Monmouth Beach. Local attractions include Bicton Gardens (5 miles), The Donkey Sanctuary (3 miles) and Seaton Tramway (10 miles). Woodbury Common (10 miles) is excellent dog walking territory with many acres of open land to explore.
