We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage and it was well designed for dogs too with the communal area being a walled garden and dog secure. It was about a 20 minute walk into the village of Monyash where there was a nice pub (good food) and cafe and lots of walks in the local area. Also close to other towns such as Bakewell. The cottage was well eRead morequiped, with everything you need to cook yourself and some treats were also left for the pup :-) Hide

A lovely well appointed cottage in the Derbyshire countryside. The owners had checked out many local places to visit. The Bulls Head in Monyash was wonderful for dinner as well as the little cafe that was next to it - all doggie friendly too. Sadly, due to the weather - Dennis, we had to cut our break short but will be back soon.

This was a beautiful cottage with lovely rooms and a pretty communal garden. The cottage was lovely and warm (Sept/Oct visit). Very central for visiting different places. Loved all the local pubs the food was excellent. Im sure we will visit again.

The cottage was very clean & the biscuits, milk, tea & coffee were very much appreciated on our arrival. Endmoor Farm is in a good position just 10mins walk from The Royal Oak pub which was friendly & did excellent meals. It is also just 15mins drive to Bakewell & close to some nice walks (Lissington Trail, Lithkill Dale & Monsall Trail) & to ChatsRead moreworth House (about 30mins by car). The cottage gardens are communal with the other cottages in the complex & well maintained. Sunny too for us! Hide

Rakes Cottage is an excellent place to stay, as stated above five stars for everything. Lovely communal gardens, really convenient parking, the whole site in such good order. Our second visit and will be back next year.
