Delightful, spacious property in the friendly market town of Amble, with miles of sandy coastline and local attractions on the doorstep. This is a comfortable retreat for families and friends.

Take a happy hound with you to Northumberland when you stay at this three-bedroom house in the coastal town of Amble. Up to six people, and one four-legged friend, are welcome at the property, which has accommodation arranged across three floors. Spend hours strolling along the 7-mile-long beach, where your energetic pup can bound all year round or pick up the local 44-mile section of the England Coast Path to explore further.

Enter the house, which has a lovely seaside theme, and call your four-legged friend through into the lounge. Make the most of the counter space in the nautical kitchen/diner for cooking before heading through to the cosy lounge to pop a film on the smart TV while your pup dozes in the corner. You could dine out in the courtyard garden, where your four-pawed friend can also enjoy the fresh air. As day turns to night, make your way upstairs to the king-size bedroom or the twin room on the first floor – the family bathroom is at this level too. Make your way up to the second floor to discover another wonderful king-size bedroom; this one with a smart TV and en-suite shower room. Parking for cottage guests is on the road and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Wander down to the harbour to watch the boats coming in and out and to potter in the craft shops down here. Drive 19 miles to reach the edge of Northumberland National Park, with its spectacular scenery and many footpaths and trails for dog walking.

Beautifully decorated, spacious, well thought out cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Central but quiet location within a few minutes walk to shops, bars, restaurants and the marina. The hosts are very thoughtful so things you've left at home (plasters for blisters after all those lovely beach walks) will be in a drawer! We took along a small dog Read moreand found Amble to be very dog friendly. Very glad we chose Puffin Hideout for our visit to Northumberland Hide

The house is situated in a great location just a short walk from the harbour area and the main town centre. The cul de sac was quiet the whole time we were there and we got a space outside the house every time we returned there. The pictures dont quite show how large the property is. Really lovely, spotless, comfortable, spacious & well-equipped cottage in a great position for sightseeing this beautiful coastline with the advantages of shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. We will certainly be back.

The cottage well equipped, comfy and only a short walk to good restaurants and the harbour. Jaspers restaurant is a must visit ... superb food and service.

The cottage is lovely and cosy surprisingly spacious inside. The rooms are really nice and decorated to a very good standard. The beds were comfortable and room fixtures very good. First of all I would like to say what a beautiful home the owners have created, the attention to detail is outstanding and very much appreciated. This property is in anexcellent location for a stay in Amble. Only a few minutes from the harbour even less to the shops. A great bar on the corner of the next road and a micro pub a couple of minutes away and lots of good places to eat all nearby. The house is lovely and very nicely decorated to a high standard.
