Such a wonderful place, we felt relaxed the moment we arrived, the views are spectacular. You really don't need to go anywhere in the car as there are plenty of walks. The icing on the cake was the daily visits from the deer!!

Two upstairs twin bedrooms are accessed by a steep, narrow staircase so unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. One of the best holidays we have ever had in Scotland. The location is stunning. Feeding the wild deer by hand was an experience none of us will forget. The drive over Applecross Pass was spectacular and the Applecross Inn was brilliant - friendly helpful staff and lovely food at a very reasonable price. Big Sands at Gairloch is a beautiful unspoilRead moret, dog friendly beach. Sitting on the soft sand watching gannets diving into the water was an unexpected bonus. Hide

Brilliant, well equipped cottage (even a slow cooker). Everything you need for a warm comfy stay in superb surroundings. Professor's Cottage is simply amazing! The location has to be seen to be believed, we were incredibly lucky with the weather and with the wildlife...Golden Eagle & Deer who both showed up every day (Eagle slightly more difficult to spot than the Deer!) If you are looking to "get away from it all" THIS IS THE PLACE!

I have never stayed in such a remote place and yet such a clean and cosy and modern cottage. It was extraordinary. We were greeted by the deers which grazed in the backyard and came to visit us nearly every day. We explored the coastal villages and went to the lovely beach in Gairloch. We had a wonderful time!
