Follow myriad picturesque footpaths and trails through the magical scenery of the Peak District with a pair of happy hounds by your side. This inviting, one-bedroom cottage at Buxworth, 3 miles from Chapel-en-le-Frith, is perfect for a couple and their canine companions who enjoy getting out and about in the great outdoors. From here, explore the attractive Goyt Valley or pick up a section of the Pennine Way. Return to your beautifully finished cottage to sit out in the courtyard garden with your furry friends, taking in the beautiful views.

Call your delighted dogs into the Derbyshire retreat and let them pad about the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Settle down for a while in front of the Smart TV, showing them some puppy love, then take them over to the kitchen area for their dinner. Prepare a romantic meal for you and your loved one too, then pour yourselves a glass of wine and dine at the breakfast bar. You have a useful washing machine for damp doggy towels after wet country walks. Climb the stairs for a hot shower before bed and then lay your head in the double bedroom, with a Smart TV. You have another room, with a double sofa bed, if required. Relax with the pups out in the enclosed, courtyard garden on sunny mornings and warm evenings. Parking at this cottage is on the road, on a first-come, first-served basis.

For exhilarating walks, climb Eccles Pike, just 2 miles from the cottage or stretch furry legs with walks through the ancient wood, park and moorland at the National Trust’s Lyme, a 7-mile drive away. Lovely cottage, perfect for a relaxing few days with the dog. On nice days we sat in the garden & it was cosy enough just to watch a film inside when the weather wasn't so great. Few nice pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly & do good food. Lyme Park is a short drive away & we had a lovely walk there & nice lunch.

A chic, modern and ultra-stylish property, with a nod to its history in the use of colours and fabrics. The fabulous enclosed courtyard area - accessed from the first floor garden room/second bedroom - gave us the best of two worlds: open fields with corralled dogs!
