Call your delighted dogs into the Derbyshire retreat and let them pad about the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Prepare a romantic meal for you and your loved one too, then pour yourselves a glass of wine and dine at the breakfast bar. You have a useful washing machine for damp doggy towels after wet country walks. Climb the stairs for a hot shower before bed and then lay your head in the double bedroom, with a Smart TV. You have another room, with a double sofa bed, if required. Relax with the pups out in the enclosed, courtyard garden on sunny mornings and warm evenings. Parking at this cottage is on the road, on a first-come, first-served basis.
For exhilarating walks, climb Eccles Pike, just 2 miles from the cottage or stretch furry legs with walks through the ancient wood, park and moorland at the National Trust’s Lyme, a 7-mile drive away. Enjoy a 3-mile walk through the scenic Goyt Valley, taking in the ruins of Errwood Hall and St Joseph’s Shrine as you go, as well as some superb Peak District views.
