This charming cottage is surrounded by beautiful North Devon countryside, in the peaceful hamlet of West Down. It offers the perfect rural retreat for groups of friends or family, whether they’re on two legs or four! Sleeping up to five guests and three furry pals, it has something for everyone, whether it’s exploring the local counrtyside or dipping toes and paws in the clear blue sea 4 miles away.
Converted from original farm buildings, this delightful home offers all the modern comforts you’d expect while retaining a truly traditional feel. The open-plan lounge and dining room is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal together before everyone puts their feet and paws up for the evening on the comfortable sofas. The cosy twin bedroom can be found on this level while two further bedrooms are to be enjoyed upstairs, ensuring everyone can rest and recharge for the next day of exploring. Outside, the garden provides a great space for pups to sniff out excitement and maybe the odd stick, while you sit back and get the BBQ going for a little al fresco dining. Guests are also invited to make use of the on-site tennis court and games room.
The stunning North Devon coastline is just a few miles away. Woolacombe (4 miles) boasts a spectacular beach as well as some great pubs which welcome four-legged guests. For hounds wanting to roam free and make new furry friends, head to Saunton Sands (7 miles) which is home to the UK’s first doggy surf school, Paws on Boards. Venture a little further afield (18 miles) to the picture postcard twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth, where the famous cliff railway invites those on a lead to join in the fun too.
