Put your feet up in front of the warming wood burner, relax in the private garden and explore the network of walking and cycling trails nearby.

Step into a world of comfort and character as you enter this charming abode. Relax in the lounge, with its inviting sofas and crackling open fire that’s sure to be popular with furry friends. Relax and rejuvenate weary legs after a day's adventure, browsing through the vast collection of books or catching up on your favourite movies on the Smart TV and DVD player. Make your way to the kitchen/diner, where you’ll be enchanted by its rustic country charm. The large farmhouse table is the perfect place to share meals and plan your daily escapades, while the warming wood burner provides a cosy ambience. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up hearty feasts, and the utility and boot room is a practical addition for towelling down muddy paws. A door leads out to the enclosed rear yard, the ideal spot for accessing the back lane with your bike or four-legged friend. Retreat upstairs to find two comfortable double bedrooms on the first floor, each with a feature fireplace, plenty of reading material, and original sash windows. The adjacent family bathroom promises a relaxing soak at the end of the day. The two single bedrooms are located on the second floor, one at the rear offering views over the rooftops towards Hadrian's Way Walk and the other at the front with a Velux-style window. To the front of the property, the small, south-facing garden is a hidden gem, enclosed by mature planting and providing a garden table and seating, perfect for al fresco dining or stargazing under the dark sky.

The cottage is set in a small hamlet in the middle of the beautiful Tyne Riverside Country Park, with various footpaths and picnic areas to discover. It's also located on the Hadrian's Cycleway, which follows the route of Hadrian’s Wall and is a great way to explore the local area with your four-pawed pal by your side. For a family day out with your entire pack, head to Beamish Living Museum of the North (13 miles), where pups on leads can join you on a journey back in time at this open-air museum telling the story of life in North East England. Alternatively, hop on a train and head into Newcastle city centre (10 miles) to experience the vibrant culture and famed hospitality of this friendly city, where many establishments will be happy to welcome Rover through their doors.

Everything about the property says tired. Potentially very charming, lots of character, need massive update, doors ,windows, glazing, bathroom .etc. Visiting the area to attend a wedding, any issues we had didn't spoil our day.

Amazing location with so many amazing walks out the door and pubs, train station and shops. What a friendly community. We even watched the filming of Vera. Otters in the river near by. The house had amazing books to read and plenty of games to play.
