Beautifully modernised to offer bright and spacious accommodation, this lovely cottage is a tranquil hideaway just steps from the village centre.
Watch up to two happy hounds chase up and down the long, enclosed garden at this exquisite stone cottage for four in the village of Corfe Castle on Dorset’s Isle of Purbeck. Take them with you to explore the magnificent ruins of the 1,000-year-old castle on a hill within the village and visit the model village, where you can all explore the gardens and take refreshment in the tearoom. Head almost 6 miles to Studland Bay to watch them run on the sandy beach and frolic in the shallows.
Enjoy the sense of space in this renovated, period cottage. Let furry paws enjoy padding about the generous living area and finding a place to settle, perhaps in front of a crackling open fire. Relax on the sofa and watch a DVD for an hour or two before dishing up doggy dinners in your airy kitchen/diner and calling everyone else to the table. Find a handy washing machine in here too. Open the French doors on to the patio and garden on warm evenings to let the bouncing Bonzos run off a little steam before bed. Bid them goodnight downstairs then head up to your two bedrooms on the first floor, where one has doors onto a balcony with views of the castle. Find a shared shower room up here too. Dine outside on sunny days while the canines cavort and chase each other around the apple trees.
From Corfe Castle, explore the Isle of Purbeck on foot with your faithful friends at your heel. Embark upon an 8.5 to 9.5-mile hike to Swanage along the ridge towards the chalk formations of Old Harry Rocks. Pause on the Monkey Beach, where four-legged visitors are welcome all year round, then return to Corfe Castle by bus or the steam railway.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.
