Set in the heart of the spectacular Perthshire countryside, this is a fantastic holiday base for you and your four-legged friends to explore some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery. From the doorstep there are many wonderful walks to explore, and the region features a number of thriving towns and villages, including Dunkeld (1 mile), Perth, Pitlochry (both 13.5 miles) and Blairgowrie (12.5 miles), all of which offer a variety of great places to eat and drink, many of them dog-friendly. Local landmarks include Loch of Lowes (3.5 miles), Loch of Drumellie (10 miles) and the popular Birnam Arts Centre which is just a few hundred metres from the cottage. Heading into the beautiful Tay Forest Park, you can explore the 33-acre 18th-century woodland known as The Hermitage, which lies on the banks of the River Braan and is home to Ossian's Hall, a folly dating from 1758.
