The converted coaching inn, set in the Cairngorms national park, is the perfect place for a family getaway all within its own private three-acre grounds.

A haven for adventurers both two-footed and four, this nine-person, two-dog property takes pride of place in the Cairngorms National Park. Boasting all sorts of amenities on-site, including private grounds and a heated garden hut, it is ideal for those looking to get off the beaten track for a while. And, with lots to do nearby, you can take your pick of trails to sniff out, restaurants to dine at and lochs to splash in (like the beautiful Loch an Eilein – 11.5 miles away).

Unlace boots, wipe muddy paws and head into the property through the hall. After a day of exploring, you will find plenty of places to unwind in this large country retreat, but the ground floor lounge with wood burner, comfortable sofas and Sky TV is particularly inviting. The perfect space for rustling up plates of neeps and tatties, the well-equipped kitchen is full of useful amenities, while the open-plan dining area awaits with a large table and garden views. A utility room at the rear of the property has a handy washing machine and tumble dryer – perfect for after a muddy walk. Ensuring comfort and privacy for all, the cottage also has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

With a private garden, 2 acres of land and BBQ area, the property’s grounds are ideal for days when you just feel like relaxing at home. For real indulgence, a secluded patio affords the perfect space for hired hot tubs too. Being in the Cairngorms, your dog will love exploring the many outdoor pursuits on offer like hiking, paddling and, if they can keep up, mountain biking. To reward hungry tums and tired legs, Aviemore (8 miles) and Grantown on Spey (8 mile) both have a selection of dog-friendly eateries.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
