Enjoy a break from everyday life and escape to this glorious bothy which boasts far-reaching countryside views and heaps of rustic charm. Welcoming guests with both two and four legs, pack up a picnic, tasty tit-bit and ball and take to the local countryside in search of stunning landscapes and quirky villages before returning back to this delightful bolthole for a snooze in the garden or a doze on the sofa.

The open-plan living space means an eye can be kept on your cheeky canine chums whilst you relax in style. Lap up the warmth of the wood burner or if the days are hot, abandon the wood burner and throw open the French doors. When tummies start rumbling, head to the kitchen area and whip up something delicious to savour at the charming dining table or step out into the garden to enjoy an al fresco tipple or a tail wag on the terrace. Full of countryside air and holiday fun, rest your head in the pleasant double bedroom where a peaceful ambience has been created to ensure a good night’s sleep. The shower room is great for a quick freshen up or to rinse off muddy paws on your return from the great outdoors.

Step out of your door and explore the plethora of footpaths and trails which wind their way around your beautiful surroundings. Chase sticks to the bottom of the hill where 4.5 miles away, the town of Monmouth awaits. For a dose of history visit Raglan Castle, 8 miles from home, which welcomes dogs on leads. A true escape from it all with the access across the orchard and garden on a flagged path. This March with the tremendous amounts of rain you cannot avoid mud but the provision of a box for muddy shoes helped limit its spread. Needs to be made clear on the website about the road leading to the property and lower vehicles would have bottomed out. See comments above about the cottage.

Beautiful little cottage in the countryside. It was perfect for a weekend exploring the area, and the log burner kept us warm when the rain poured. We were very grateful for the scones, eggs, milk and welshcakes left for us. The cottage itself was well equipped, very clean and as per the photos. Would recommend.
