This charming detached thatched property nestles in the typically beautiful farmland with superb surrounding countryside views. An idyllic spot for couples or small families.
Set amongst tranquil landscape rich in wildlife and heritage, this charming detached thatched property is an idyllic spot for couples or small families – just make sure your four-legged friend comes too! Explore hedgerows and copses, small farms with intricate field patterns, deep valleys and narrow, winding lanes before returning happily weary for an evening of rest and relaxation.
Potter straight through to the utility area to discard muddy boots, damp coats and wipe down muddy paws before padding back to the kitchen, to make a hot chocolate. Your pup will be spoilt with a choice of two wood burners, with one in the kitchen so he can doze whilst you dine! Contemporary styling compliments traditional features such as the exposed beams and steep, narrow staircases in this characterful and cosy cottage. On warm evenings dine alfresco surrounded by beautiful views over the Devonshire countryside as your happy hound scampers about the enclosed lawn, dipping toes in the small stream and rolling in the grass. As the sun goes down, head indoors to the lounge to relax on the comfortable sofas as the wood burner crackles, with your furry friend snoozing in pole position!
Set within the heart of Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and lush Devon farmland, there are many beautiful walks from the property. Visit the historic Dumpton Fort (6 miles) on one of the largest and most striking hills in the beautiful Otter Valley, and Hembury Hillfort (10.5 miles) - the finest prehistoric hillfort in Devon. Try the 1-mile walk to Wellington Monument (12 miles) where you will be rewarded with beautiful views. If your pup loves the sea and sand then head to Lyme Regis (15.5 miles) and Branscombe (16 miles) for gentle waves and miles of golden sand, perfect for a fun game of fetch!
