This Scandinavian-style log cabin offers unique character accommodation in the heart of this fantastic national park.

Embrace cabin-style living on the brink of the glorious Northumberland National Park and step into this Nordic space with family and friends. Designated Europe’s largest Dark Skies Park, spend clear nights gazing up at the stars with a mug of something warm to keep you toasty. Welcoming your four-footed furry friend too, pack up some yummy treats and enjoy chasing sticks, waves and sunrises at this humble abode.

The traditional cabin-style open-plan living space means you can always keep an eye on your furry friend and his antics. Settle down on the comfortable sofa and switch on the TV for some rest and relaxation or sit outside and lap up the fresh air as you treat your lungs and embrace the natural environment. Rustle up something tasty to eat in the spacious kitchen area, before unwinding and soaking away any aches and pains in the bath or have a quick freshen up in the shower overhead. Feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, rest your head in one of two charming bedrooms which both have a minimal style so you can shut your eyes and escape the clutter and busyness of everyday life. An off-road parking space makes it easy to load and unload your bags and head out for the day.

Head into the national park and spend days getting off the beaten track, chasing sticks and following well-trodden paths to uncover the majestic beauty and wildlife which lies within. Hunt down the historic Hadrian’s Wall for a dose of a time gone by or the Cheviot Hills for beautiful views. Just 20 miles from home is the marvellous Alnwick Castle.

Sad to say that this property is tired and shabby with a messy garden that is not dog proof. The pictures on the site do not match with the state of the property. The location is wonderful and there are many walks and local interest.

The cottage is attractive, in a good location, the kitchen is well equipped, response to problems with the TV was excellent and the towels were good. Unfortunately, it lacks care care and attention to detail. I would recommend it if the owner attended to all the issues I have pointed out separately were attended to, but at present I cannot.

We were disappointed by the condition and cleanliness of the property, it was tired and shabby, it needed a good overhaul to bring it up to an acceptable standard. The surroundings were lovely but spoilt by the close proximity of the other lodges/cottages.
