This converted annexe is situated in a quiet spot in the village of Crackington Haven in beautiful North Cornwall with an abundance of walks on its doorstep.

For the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life, this tranquil cottage is located in the idyllic coastal village of Crackington Haven. It is an ideal size for a couple taking a break with their beloved four-pawed pal and is wonderfully situated for gentle walks along the beach, followed by a warming drink in the local pub with Fido curled up at your feet. This cosy retreat offers the friendly community of a little village and the peaceful solitude that can only be found on Cornwall’s wild coastline.

The open-plan layout makes the most of the spectacular views and natural light, creating a bright and welcoming living area. The compact kitchen offers all the necessities, including a washing machine for those muddy dog towels! The lounge has an electric fire which is a wonderful focal point for relaxed nights in with up to two hounds laid out across the hearth. The well-appointed bathroom is downstairs, while upstairs, the characterful double bedroom is built into the eaves with plenty of floor space for Fido to stretch out. A private enclosed garden with BBQ is perfect for relaxing in the summer and enjoying the countryside views.

Crackington Haven is 11 miles from the seaside resort town of Bude that boasts some of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches. While some of these have restrictions through the year, Sandymouth is a National Trust owned beach and allows dogs to run free all year. 7 miles in the other direction is the picturesque village of Boscastle with its quaint harbour and a witchcraft museum that welcomes well-behaved dogs on leads. If you’re interested in literature, head 10 miles south of the property to Tintagel. Take your dogs on a walk fit for royalty as you follow in Tennyson’s footsteps when he wrote Idyll of the Kings.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Cozy annexe cottage joined to the owners home. Met the owner on arrival, who was very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was dog friendly and clean. We came in February when the weather was quite mixed and would love to come back again when the weather is brighter.

Cottage was great, big enough for a couple and 2 dogs (GSD & Patterjack) they loved the enclosed garden , sea view was fab, 30 minute walk to the sea and local pub which has great food with a sea view, lots of public footpaths along the cliffs if you're into hiking, we walked to Boscastle 6 mile walk felt like 10! Excellent location to the beach & pub although its a very steep hill so wed advise driving the 1.2 miles rather than walking. Bude is around 11 miles away & has a huge open beach with loads to do.

Lovely place with sea views and plenty of countryside as well. Personally I would never walk to the pub in crackington as it was over a mile away and no streetlights but as I dont drink anyway..the drive is quite pleasant if not abit steep. The owners were really friendly as well

Nice accommodation, just right for 2 (+2dogs). It was about 30min walk down into Crackington Haven and 35min back up again! Bit of a hill but we were OK with that as used to hills at home. Lovely base to leave the car and stroll 1.25miles down to the coast path or to the lovely pub. Loved having the owners horses close by, owners very helpful and welcoming as was their lovely dog. Loved the spacious annex with amazing views we enjoyed over breakfast. Easy to find and there is a bus stop very close by. Will be returning next year.

Great location for enjoying the coast and countryside. No Dogs allowed on the local beach, but others not too far away. Be prepared for very hilly terrain, and seek out the alternative local pubs away from tourist areas for additional value for money.

We stayed here for a week in June, it was very clean, comfortable and the owners are very friendly too. The only thing I would say is the local pub is down a very very steep hill, it's not for the faint hearted!
