This charming cottage offers the perfect country escape and welcomes two guests and your canine friend. The pretty cottage in the traditional Devon village of High Bickington offers a modern yet charismatic oasis with hot tub, and is perfectly located for exploring North Devon and beyond. Just a short stroll from the property, you will find the centre of this quaint village offering, a small shop and a post office.

Cosy up in the comfortable lounge area, offering a wood burner for those colder evenings. The airy, well-equipped kitchen offers ample space to cook up a storm and enjoy a bite to eat. Guests can also enjoy a sunroom boasting a spacious dining area and armchairs for further relaxation. As you wander up the spiral staircase you will be greeted with a comfortable double bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Outside, you will find an attractive enclosed garden to be enjoyed by your canine companion, complete with private hot tub and BBQ on request.

From this property you can expect to find plenty of attractions that are sure to set tails wagging, from countryside walks to beautiful beaches, Devon has it all. Drive 18 miles to Westward Ho! beach, from here you can go on to explore Appledore and Instow, offering charming dog-friendly eateries. This cottage is lovely. It has everything you need should you wish to stay in. Very comfy seating, and we love the large swivel cuddle chairs in the dining area! We stayed from Easter Sunday for 3 nights and we were welcomed by Jon to go through anything and we also received a wonderful Lemon Drizzle cake and an Easter Egg. The cottage was amazing - very comfortable, cosy & spacious. Everything was fresh & clean and it was well equipped. The hot tub was awesome and great to be availble for use instantly at any time. Beautiful cottage, we wanted a winter getaway with log fire, hot tub and a village pub within a mile. This place delivered everything we asked for and more. The best Christmas in the most idyllic cottage. The most welcoming, warm home to come into on a windy cold December evening. All the little touches made it feel extra special. This cottage is an absolute gem nestled in a quiet village. It was so peaceful. The owners are amazing and have thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as it can be. The property itself is stunning which has a fabulous history that is documented. The hot tub is amazing and was well used despite the rain. This place is INCREDIBLE. The attention to detail, the hot tub, the location, the local village shop and of course John were all amazing! It's incredible comfortable, fire very easy to use, hot tub mega simple and John greeted us with a lemon loaf cake when we arrived! It's brilliantly located to explore Devon and there are walks right on your doorRead morestep. It's about 40minutes to Saunton Sands and Westward Ho! Second time staying at this cottage and again it was perfect. The log burner had been lit when we arrived and it was just so cosy, warm and inviting. Jon, the owner, popped in to make sure everything was OK and he was very welcoming. The cottage was superb, the amenities were exceptional quality and lovely finishing touches including the fresh flowers and delicious lemon drizzle cake. Remote location in a peaceful little village with pub and community shop. Good location for visiting coastal towns and villages in North Devon.

A really stunning cottage set in a cosy village. Location is not the best if you dont want to drive far, but it is fairly central so you can visit the north or south coast in a relatively short time. You are allowed to take dogs, but be aware that the stairs and garden have some hazards for four legged friends! Cottage is gorgeous, everything has been thought of for a lovely relaxed stay. It is quite isolated from lots of things to do, but the village is lovely, and everything is an easy drive away. Bed was super comfy. Hottub was great to relax in at the end of the day. 100% would recommend.
