Surrounded by the splendid hills of Radnorshire, this 17th-century farmhouse benefits from miles of glorious countryside to explore with your family and canine companions. With such close proximity to splendid locations like the Brecon Beacons and Radnor Forest, you can spend hours discovering the tranquil landscapes. A wonderfully decorated property filled to the brim with character and tasteful furnishings, you are assured a comfortable stay in this well-equipped accommodation. Sleeping eight over four bedrooms, as well as two four-pawed pals, we believe every dog should be able to join in on the adventure.
Kick off your boots and wipe down muddy paws in the boot room and enter the spacious kitchen/diner, complete with wooden beams, splashes of colour and great facilities. Here you can cook up a storm for your family with space for relaxed meals, or fine dining in the dining room with an original 17th-century fireplace. After dinner you can put your feet up and sink into the sofa by the wood burner, with your canine companions snuggled up nearby. A further two floors house the fresh and bright bedrooms, each decorated with great attention to detail. Step outside and dine alfresco on the terrace, with panoramic views of the luscious rolling hills as your waggy-tailed pal explores the garden. There is even a BBQ, outdoor sink and fridge to accommodate for outdoor entertaining.
With a variety of landscapes including mountain terrain, lakes and forests, there are walks of all levels of difficulty. Riverside trails can be found alongside the River Wye, as well as salmon fishing. Llangorse Lake is about 18 miles away and as well as scenic walks, it offers the chance to go boating, fishing and waterskiing. The “town of books” Hay-on-Wye is close by, perfect for lunch out at a dog-friendly eatery. The farmhouse sits on an elevated terrace around a farmyard. There is an unused barn adjacent to the house and a neighbour across the yard in the converted cow sheds.
There is another neighbour 500m down the lane. Both incredibly unobtrusive and knowledgable of the local area.
