This stunning, semi-detached cottage in rural Somerset is a great place for friends, family and their four-legged friend to enjoy quality time together. Located in the peaceful countryside, there is still access to main roads making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Guests can stroll along the country lane to the village of Nunney to their shop and pub or even visit English Heritage’s Nunney Castle. With plenty of countryside to explore on your doorstep and three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty within 20 miles, you and your hound will never get bored.

The attractive limestone exterior is typical of the properties in this area and hints at the quality accommodation inside. Tastefully decorated in a contemporary cottage-style, the traditional furniture and modern fittings blend seamlessly, while the neutral palette and warm woods create a homely feel. The spacious lounge has an open fire for those colder evenings and two steps lead you into the expansive, well-equipped kitchen/diner. One king-size bedroom is on the ground floor with an interesting en-suite wet-room, while upstairs there are two king-size bedrooms and one twin room. The large bathroom has a luxurious roll-top bath and separate shower. Outside, there is an enclosed patio/garden area.

There are opportunities for walkies for your canine companions in all directions. To the west is the Mendips Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), including the Wookey Hole Caves and attraction. To the east is the Cranborne Chase AONB with its chalk plateau and choice of hills to ascend for stunning views. To the north is historic Bath (20 miles) with its Roman connections; it is also the southern-most point of the Cotswolds AONB. You must also be sure to visit Longleat Estate with its House and Safari Park where Fido will come across cats too big to chase.

Lovely cottage in a good location. You do hear some road noise from the quarry on a weekday but over the weekend it was quiet so this wasn't a bother. Comfortable cottage with plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses etc.

We had a lovely stay in Paddington Cottage. The Cottage had everything we needed for a pleasant week with family (6 adults and 2 children). The cake left by the owner was delicious and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Yes you can hear the road from the cottage but it's behind a tree/hedge line and really isn't that bad.
