Access to the private woodland for safe, livestock-free walkies is a definite highlight of this cottage for dog-owners. Were runners/hikers and the location was perfect with The Nidderdale Way in easy reach. Weve stayed in better equipped/cosier places, however we were perfectly happy & comfortable here for our stay. The property was lovely, had everything we needed and more. Beautiful views and a very pretty and friendly village and surrounding areas. Great places to visit all within reach. Only thing missing was a local pub. The closest one in Dacre didn't do food this week 11th-18th Aug!!

Property well furnished and comfortable. It was in a good location although set right on the roadside which was very busy at certain times of the day. We felt it lacked some basic self catering facilities if you want to cook yourself and the bed was very basic and uncomfortable. woods behind the house were great especially if you have a dog and theRead more views from the lounge window across fields was beautiful. We saw deer crossing the lane into the field and birds of prey hovering in the sky. Hide

Good, well equiped place to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Close to the impressive Brinham Rocks. Unfortunately the pub in Summerbridge is closed. Taller people like me have to mind there heads upstairs and might have problems using the shower properly. Beside thid, we fully recommend The Owls Retreat.
